Formo is a fitness and body tracker built to be private. It has no accounts and no login. Your data is stored on your device by default. We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. A few optional features send limited data to service providers only when you actively choose to use them, as described below.
Formo (“we”, “us”) is the developer of the Formo mobile app. For any privacy question or request, contact canerpolat.cnrplt@gmail.com.
We do not require or collect your name, email address, phone number, or a Formo account. We do not collect contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, or behavioural analytics. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
The following stay in Formo’s local storage on your device and are not uploaded automatically: your profile details (such as height, weight, age, gender and goals), body measurements, food and calorie entries, workout plans and logs, reminder settings, and any private progress photos you add. Removing the app removes this locally stored data from the device.
Formo requests permissions only at the moment a feature needs them: the camera for barcode scanning and meal or progress photos; the photo library to import a photo you select; and notifications to deliver the reminders you schedule. You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
AI meal photo (Premium). If you choose this feature, the selected image is sent through our processing function (hosted on Supabase) to OpenAI to estimate nutrition, and the result is returned to your device. The photo is not added to your progress gallery and is not written to Formo’s database. Formo never sends photos in the background.
Food database lookups. Manual food search and barcode scanning query the Open Food Facts database over the internet using the text or barcode you enter.
Premium purchases. Purchases are processed by your app store and by RevenueCat. Formo identifies your subscription using an anonymous, device-linked customer identifier; it is not tied to your name or email.
To operate the AI meal photo feature and enforce fair-use limits, our function processes the anonymous customer identifier, the request date, and a daily request count. Meal photos are not stored in Formo’s database.
When you use the optional features above, data is handled by these providers under their own privacy policies:
• OpenAI — openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. OpenAI’s API abuse-monitoring logs may retain content for up to 30 days by default.
• RevenueCat — revenuecat.com/privacy
• Supabase (hosting our function) — supabase.com/privacy
• Open Food Facts — openfoodfacts.org/privacy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — purchase processing under their respective policies.
On-device data remains until you delete the entry or remove the app. Our function retains only the minimal fair-use counters described above. Provider retention (for example OpenAI abuse logs, or store and RevenueCat purchase records) is governed by those providers’ policies.
Formo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Because your Formo data lives on your device, you can view, edit or delete it directly in the app, and remove all of it by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access or delete personal data held by our providers; contact us and we will help route the request. Purchase records held by the app stores and RevenueCat are subject to their retention rules.
On-device data is protected by your device’s operating system. Requests to our online function are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
